Too Much Too Soon

Ahhh - I think I started back with some speed work a bit too soon, and I did it twice.  It left me knee feeling awfully tender and so I have taken 3 complete days off of running now.  I rode my bike on Saturday morning instead of running the 14 miles that I had planned.  Today I will run an easy 8 miles and spend the rest of the week just paying attention and working out accordingly.  My next 1/2 is 4 weeks away from yesterday and the plan is to "GO FOR IT".  I plan to hurt really bad after, but I want to lay it down and see if I am able to hold 6:50s for 13.1 miles.  If the week is good and I feel strong on Saturday, I will do the "Money" run. 

I've also enjoyed the last 2 weeks of pretty much eating like a "jacka$$" so that is hopefully stopping.  I always like to give myself a week after a race to just eat whatever and do whatever, but it usually ends up turning into 2 weeks.  Am I alone in this?  I also find that mentally and physically I feel WAY better the "cleaner" I eat.  So that is the plan.
