2 more days of running to go and I will finish off my running block of 3 weeks to improve fitness. I should average just over 50 miles for each week and I definitly feel the improvement already so GOAL ACHIEVED! It turned out, I really just needed to get off my bike (the 1 day I was riding) to increase the mileage and add in a couple of longer days. I did do a tempo run each week, but they are still 5 sec per mile slower than my goal 1/2 marathon pace so I don't think the sub 1:30 1/2 mary is a reasonable goal at this point. BUT - a PR is definitley something worth going after. 3 more weeks to focus on some speed and then go time! Pics from the runs:
